Harley-Davidson recall for damaged voltage regulator harness
Harley-Davidson is recalling 41,637 motorcycles due to a potential for short-circuiting and increased crash risk, according to the NHTSA.

For free, dealers will inspect and, as necessary, repair the voltage regulator output wire harness and install a secondary retention strap. Recall notification letters were sent on Sept. 23. The report said a loss of power brake assist can extend the distance needed to stop. This will increase the risk of a crash, the report said.
As a remedy, dealers will update the skid control ECU software. This service will be completed for free. Recall notification letters are expected to be sent on Nov. 5. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's number for this recall is 24TA11.
