Gina Kirschenheiter and Travis Mullen are still going strong—despite their unconventional new living situation.
After The Real Housewives of Orange County star asked her boyfriend of four years and his three kids to move out of their shared SoCal home during the Bravo series' July 25 episode, the Bravo star gave a surprising update on their current status.
"It’s good, it’s really good," Gina shared of their relationship on Watch What Happens Live July 25. "We had a bad year and we’re still not through all of it but we’re handling it well."
The 40-year-old also addressed speculation that their romance won't survive the drastic domestic change after her costar Tamra Judge predicted a breakup on the horizon.
"I understand that it didn’t make sense to everybody at first," Gina admitted, "and I know that it does make sense to Tamra now. So, you know, I can’t worry about everybody’s opinions."
During RHOC's latest episode, Gina—who shares sons Nicholas and Luca and daughter Sienna with ex Matt Kirschenheiter—explained why she thought it was best for Travis and his kids Presley, Bennett and Joseph to move out.
“It’s about me and needing space from Travis’ past,” the real estate agent admitted in her confessional. “His ex makes things incredibly difficult for him and for me, and he feels responsible for it. I'm choosing myself and my three kids over our family as a whole.”
But as he packed up his things, Gina began to question her decision.
“It’s just hard to watch you moving out of our house,” she told Travis. “It’s just confusing because we're not breaking up and I don't want us to break up.”
As for Travis' thoughts on the emotional situation?
“I think you need to stop saying this is about the children because you made this decision,” he told her. “I think that the kids would prefer to be in this space as one, and I can’t say I disagree.”
Gina replied, “I don't want you to resent me because of this," before he ultimately left the residence.
See their relationship drama continue to play out when The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
